A year ago the vehicle would not accelerate while driving and would then come to a stop. It was taken to the dealership where they said it was a wiring issue. In the past year the vehicle will turn off when sitting in traffic or at a light. Car will not detect key fob even when new batteries have been used. Car will say no key.

Volkswagen represents in the warranty and maintenance schedules that the tensioning system is expected to last for about 120,000 miles without the need for repairs. In fact, according to the plaintiff, owners are provided manuals that do not show any timing chain system inspection or maintenance schedules at all.
