Fortunately, the vehicle was in a parking lot, as failure in a road could have caused an accident. Second failure of intake manifold. Vw has admitted to a manufacturing defect but only extended warranty. Had the manifold replaced at 50,000 miles roughly. Unit failed again at 150,000 miles. I dont believe they originally fixed the problem. Vw is placing high cost on owners to replace after 120,000 miles. Repair runs higher than $800.00. Failure to replace this part can deem the car unsafe.

While driving anytime that we would slow down or put the vehicle into reverse the vehicle would go randomly in neutral. It was randomly this would happen and became more frequent.
